# Account settings, data and privacy

> In Settings you change name, photo, phone and the app language (English, Italian, French, Spanish or German), choose the theme (Light, Dark, Grayscale) and the notifications you want. Access to your social accounts is stored encrypted and each brand is isolated from the others. Bynor SRL processes data under the GDPR; some providers process it outside the EU, mainly in the United States. You can delete your account from Settings with your password: it is immediate and cannot be undone.

## Profile and language

Open your account menu (bottom left) and then **Settings**:

- Change **name**, **profile photo** and **phone**, then press Save.
- Choose the app **Language**: English, Italian, French, Spanish or German.
- To change the login email, write to [info@bynor.ai](mailto:info@bynor.ai).

The profile photo is yours; the brand logo is set on the Brand page.

## Theme

From the account menu choose the theme: **Light**, **Dark** or **Grayscale**. The choice is saved on your device.

## Notifications

In **Settings** there are two sets of preferences:

- **Email preferences**: product emails and updates, the Inbox summary, post publishing confirmations, client verdicts, completed AI tasks. **Publishing errors and security** (failed posts, password resets, account changes) are always on and cannot be turned off.
- **In-app notification preferences**, for the bell at the top: **Problems** (red, they block publishing or connections: keep them on), **Needs attention** (yellow) and **Activity and confirmations** (blue).

## Sessions and security

- Access to your social accounts uses each network's official authorization (OAuth with PKCE). The access tokens are stored encrypted.
- Each brand's data is isolated from other brands and other accounts.
- From Settings you can log out the other devices where you are signed in. This also closes the access of apps connected through the [MCP connector](https://bynor.ai/guide/bynor-in-claude-and-chatgpt.html).

## Privacy

Bynor is made by Bynor SRL, an Italian company based in Milan, and processes personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Some of the providers Bynor works with are based, or use sub-processors, outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States: those transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. The details (which data, why, which providers, how long) are in the [Privacy and Cookie Policy](https://bynor.ai/en/privacy-and-cookie-policy.html); the contract is in the [Terms](https://bynor.ai/en/terms.html).

## Delete your account

1. Open **Settings** and press **Delete account**.
2. Confirm with your password.

Deletion is **immediate and irreversible**: your data is deleted permanently. If you have an active subscription, it is canceled at once, without a refund for the remaining period. If you only want to stop paying, cancel the subscription instead: see [Plans and pricing](https://bynor.ai/guide/plans-and-pricing.html).

## Frequently asked questions
