AI Engineer

The part where AI really makes the difference: RAG, brand voice, clustering. The core of the product, not an API you call now and then.

Tech & AI · Fully remote · Milan hub · Full-time

We're three people building Bynor: the AI operating system for people who run social media for a living, from agencies to creators to companies. The product is already out there, in use and growing, and the ambitions are big. Now we're looking for the fourth person to build the most interesting part: the one where AI really makes the difference.

One thing up front, because it matters most: we want someone who has already worked on a project where AI engineering was the core, not the occasional API call. Real experience, the kind that shows.

What you'll build

You'll work with Francesco (Tech & AI) on the core parts of the product:

  • The AI that knows the voice, past content and metrics of every brand (RAG and embeddings on the client's real data, not a general-purpose model starting from scratch).
  • Content generation in each brand's voice (prompt engineering and agentic workflows).
  • Prioritizing the messages and comments that matter, inside a unified inbox (clustering and high-dimensional data).

New features to build, things in production to improve, working closely with us every day. We're a small team, so what you do shows immediately and you get real ownership from day one.

What really matters (in order of importance)

  • Solid experience with LLM-based systems: prompt engineering, agentic workflows (tool calling, orchestration), RAG and embeddings, fine-tuning (LoRA/PEFT), optimized serving and inference (e.g. vLLM), cost and latency optimization.
  • Clustering algorithms (K-means, DBSCAN, hierarchical clustering) and work with high-dimensional data and embeddings.
  • Mature async Python backend and strong command of relational databases: modeling, performance, queries.
  • Infrastructure: containerization, deployment, async queues, debugging in production, a security-first mindset.
  • Real autonomy: you take a feature from idea to production on your own.

Nice to have: third-party API integrations, handling payments and subscriptions.

What you've built counts more than how long you've been doing it. If you're early in your career but already have a serious project where AI was the core, apply anyway.

How we work

We use Claude Code every day, so you should be comfortable working that way. We're looking for energy, drive and the appetite to solve a hundred problems a day.

The team is based in Milan and the role is fully remote. If you're in Milan, there's the chance to meet in person, work side by side and grab a steak now and then :)

This role isn't for you if

Your experience with AI stops at a few API calls in a side project. Or if you want rigid processes, locked-down roles and a path already mapped out: here we move fast and build from scratch.
