Create an editorial plan

How to create an editorial plan in Bynor with AI or by hand, what a card contains (script, outline, recording), how to edit and regenerate content, share it with a client and move it to the calendar.

Updated · 2 min read

In short

Open Editorial Plan and press "New editorial plan". Choose "Generate with AI" to answer a few questions in the chat and get a plan with cards ready to review, or "I'll do it myself" for an empty plan. Each card is one post (Reel, Video, Carousel, Post, Photo or Story): videos and Reels get a script, an outline and shooting directions, photos and carousels get the visual and the caption. When the content is ready you schedule it in the Calendar.

Create a plan

  1. Open Editorial Plan in the sidebar.
  2. Press New editorial plan.
  3. Choose Generate with AI or I'll do it myself.

With Generate with AI the AI Chat asks a few questions (the brief) and creates the plan with its cards, ready to review. With I'll do it myself you get an empty plan to fill in.

You can also start from the AI Chat directly: "Create an editorial plan for the next two weeks".

The brief

The brief is the starting information: the goal, the networks, the topics and how many posts you want. Answer in your own words. A concrete goal ("make the new service known") gives better ideas than a vague one ("grow").

Cards

Every idea the AI proposes becomes a card, one per post. A card has a format (Reel, Video, Carousel, Post, Photo or Story) and a status, so you see at a glance what is ready and what is still to do.

Open a card to produce its content. What you find depends on the format:

  • Reels, videos and Shorts: Script / Text (the complete text to read on camera), Outline (a bullet-point track to develop in your own words), Recording (shooting directions written by the AI: what to frame, how to move, music and audio, on-screen text, pace) and the caption.
  • Stories: Script / Text and Recording.
  • Posts and photos: the image and the caption.
  • Carousels: the slides and the caption.

Edit and regenerate

  • Edit any text by hand, or ask the AI to revise the script in the brand's tone (you can always go back to the original script).
  • For carousels, Regenerate a single slide or Regenerate all.
  • From the card menu: Duplicate card, Move to another plan, Delete card.
  • From the plan header: edit the name and the goal.

Share with your client

Press Share with the client to send the plan to the client portal. The client approves or declines each card. You find their answers in More, then Approvals. A card you change can be sent back to the client for a new review.

From the plan to publishing

When a card's content is ready, schedule the post in the Calendar, where you do the final check of caption, media and date. See Schedule and publish posts.

Frequently asked questions

Can Bynor write the editorial plan for me?

Yes. Choose "Generate with AI" or ask the AI Chat. It builds the plan from your brand context and your past results, and you review every card.

Does creating a plan use AI credits?

No. Plans and texts do not use credits today; generating images does. See AI credits.
